The Gourmet Club

The White Oak Farm Gourmet Club is our way of sharing the products of the farm with a select group who appreciate the care we take in growing each item. To insure availability, advance orders are always recommended. Lamb is limited to the number born that meet our exacting specifications. Pork is limited to the number we raise in a given year and orders are taken by March 31st to be ready in September or October. Special orders may be made in advance for suckling lamb or china pigs. If you have any questions, please contact us.

We raise Dorset sheep. Our lambs are from thoroughbred stock - we know their parents and their history. We raise our lambs on our farm and feed our hay, supplemented with carefully selected grains, never any antibiotics or hormones. We do however de-worm on a periodic basis to insure healthy sheep. We take great care to assure that the lamb we offer is still true lamb (not mutton) and the best you can find anywhere. Our lamb is ready for your dining pleasure in the fall and early winter of the year, most often November – January.

Orders

We raise pigs once a year. They enjoy the outdoors and have room to dig and play in their own pasture. We begin with carefully selected, weaned young piglets. Right from the first day they eat a special diet with absolutely no garbage, antibiotics or hormones. To insure they stay healthy and happy we monitor them several times a day (play with them). This combination of feed, care and a stress-free environment assures the finest pork available anywhere.

Not all beef is the same. We raise them one at a time and are particular where and how they are pastured. Our partner in providing the finest meats is K3 Farms who carefully maintains the health and welfare of our beef, raised to have just the right amount of marbling without being overly fat. Feed is the key to great beef and our goal is to provide the very best.

Pheasants are raised by special order at K3 Farms. Carefully selected chicks are brought to maturity on the most nutritious diet without antibiotics or hormones. Pheasants may be ordered in the spring for a special fall dinner.
